How Parents Can Help

Encourage your child to be independent with dressing and packing for school.
Ask your child about the school day and friendships.
Read with your child for at least 15 minutes every day.
Ask your child to predict events in stories.
Discuss settings, plot and characters in the stories you read together.
Encourage your child to practise counting.
To help concentration your child needs plenty of rest and nutritious food.
Monitor TV viewing and electronic game playing.
Be mindful of cyber safety.
